Description
Polilag closed cell polyethylene lagging is designed for wrapping stormwater and sanitary drain pipe where they penetrate concrete slabs and footings, allowing the pipe to move independently of the surrounding concrete as required by AS2870-2011. Unlike traditional open cell lagging, Polilag's closed cell construction is non-absorbent, so it won't soak up moisture over time and compromise the pipe's ability to move freely under the slab.
The lagging is compression resistant and durable enough to handle the demands of a concrete pour without collapsing around the pipe, and it's straightforward to fit around pipes and fittings of varying sizes and shapes. Each roll runs 10 metres long, giving good coverage across multiple penetrations on a single job.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Polilag used for?
Polilag is a closed cell drain lagging used to wrap stormwater and sanitary pipe where it passes through concrete slabs and footings, allowing the pipe to move independently of the concrete as required by AS2870-2011.
What size roll does it come in?
Each roll is 100mm wide, 10 metres long, and 5mm thick.
How is Polilag different from traditional lagging?
Traditional open cell lagging can absorb water and lose its ability to let the pipe move freely under the slab. Polilag's closed cell, non-absorbent construction avoids this, keeping the lagging effective for the life of the slab.
What lagging thickness do I need for my site?
AS2870-2011 requires a minimum of 20mm lagging thickness on Class H1/H1-D sites, and 40mm on Class H2/H2-D and Class E/E-D sites. Check your site classification before selecting a wrap thickness.
Does Polilag meet emissions requirements?
Yes, Polilag is CETEC emissions test certified.
Does it come in bulk packs?
Yes, Polilag is supplied 10 rolls per carton.
