The AVG PRV15F-LF is a 15mm inline pressure reducing valve from the Australian Valve Group — a Watts brand — built for residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It reduces and stabilises incoming mains pressure to a safe working level, protecting hot water systems, tapware, pipe joints, washers and appliance hoses from the damage high pressure causes over time.
Factory set at 500kPa in line with AS/NZS 3500.1, and fully adjustable from 250-650kPa via the top screw (clockwise to increase, anticlockwise to reduce). Three gauge test points are cast into the body for upstream and downstream pressure monitoring, with a tagging eye for service identification.
The membrane design with a 316 stainless steel seat gives more reliable long-term pressure control than piston-style limiting valves, which are prone to clogging. An internal stainless steel mesh strainer protects the valve from debris, and it can be installed horizontally or vertically — including below ground in an approved protective box.
Thread-compatible with most existing installations, making it a straightforward replacement for Reliance, Tomson, AW, Nefa, Reflex, APO and similar valves with no pipe modification required.
